Red Dress Productions has had the opportunity to make art with more than 600 people in the St James Town and Cabbagetown neighbourhoods since the start of the Promise in the Park neighbourhood in spring 2014. We’ve brought art workshops to E Fry Toronto, Dixon Hall, 55+ Group, St James Town Community Corner, Diane Frankling Co-op, Maggie's, Sherbourne Health Centre, Winchester Public School, and City of Toronto parks, and we’ve unveiled 4 new visual public art projects including: Hatch – a 14' x 8' mosaic public artwork that engaged 400+ staff and students at Winchester Public School – Birds of a Feather – a suite of 9 mosaics created with a group of Ernescliffe Non-Profit Housing Co-op members and staff – Cornerstone – a large pebble mosaic in Winchester Square Park– and Flightpath – a 6-week mosaic installation with 50+ components created with many community members.
Best wishes for 2016!
